Contact Discovery Services - Nashville, TN
Location: Remote
Start Date: Negotiable
A leading eDiscovery technology and consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC is a seasoned Senior eDiscovery Project Manager to provide third shift support for the Client Services organization. This role is designed for an experienced eDiscovery professional who can independently manage sophisticated workflows, troubleshoot issues, make sound decisions, and keep critical work moving during overnight hours.
The qualified candidate will receive a structured daily handoff from the Client Services team and assume ownership of assigned projects and priorities throughout the overnight shift. Because there will be limited overlap with the daytime team, this position requires a highly collaborative professional who is also comfortable operating autonomously, exercising judgment, solving problems, and determining when escalation is necessary.
DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Third Shift Ownership and Handoffs
• Receive and manage a structured daily handoff of active matters, priorities, deadlines, client requirements, and anticipated overnight work.
• Serve as the senior point of ownership during third shift, ensuring assigned workflows continue progressing and time sensitive deliverables are appropriately managed.
• Evaluate issues as they arise, independently troubleshoot problems, determine appropriate solutions, and escalate when circumstances require additional technical, operational, or client input.
• Provide a detailed and organized handoff to the daytime Client Services team, including completed work, outstanding items, issues encountered, decisions made, and required follow up.
• Maintain clear documentation throughout the shift to ensure continuity, accountability, and informed decision making across teams.
Project and Client Management
• Independently manage numerous concurrent eDiscovery and litigation projects across the full Electronic Discovery Reference Model, with significant responsibility for work performed within the Relativity document review platform.
• Work closely with Project Managers, technical resources, attorneys, client support staff, company representatives, government representatives, and other stakeholders to complete complex projects in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Independently and proactively provide consultation tailored to the specific needs of clients and matters by recommending and developing custom workflows across the full scope of the EDRM.
• Use industry standard processes to facilitate data collections, early case assessment workflows, data reuse and repository workflows, document reviews, and document productions.
• Work effectively with traditional data sources, including email, and modern data sources, including cloud storage providers, mobile devices, and short message data.
• Serve as an escalation resource and provide guidance, training, and support to junior team members when needed.
Relativity Administration and Technical Execution
• Manage users, groups, permissions, fields, choices, layouts, views, dashboards, searches, STRs, batch sets, dtSearch indexes, processing, imaging, productions, custom objects, event handlers, ARM, structured analytics, conceptual analytics, and active learning.
• Administer and troubleshoot applications, scripts, agents, queues, and other components of the Relativity environment.
• Provide reporting related to workspace metrics, user activity, document populations, and other case specific requirements.
• Perform quality control, validation, and detailed analysis of work products before production or advancement to subsequent stages of review.
• Provide engineering and technical workflow support to internal teams as needed.
• Develop practical innovations and process improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and quality.
Third Shift Operating Expectations
• This is a dedicated third shift position supporting the broader Client Services organization. The successful candidate must be comfortable taking ownership of work following the daily team handoff and operating with limited real time interaction with the individuals assigning that work.
• Success in this role requires someone who does not simply execute a task list. The Senior Project Manager must understand the objective behind an assignment, anticipate potential issues, independently troubleshoot, make informed decisions within their area of expertise, document their actions, and ensure the daytime team returns to a clear understanding of what occurred overnight.
• Although the role operates independently during much of the shift, collaboration remains essential. Clear communication at shift transitions, disciplined documentation, strong judgment, and thoughtful escalation are critical to creating continuity between the daytime and third shift teams.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of Relativity administration and eDiscovery project management experience, with demonstrated expertise managing complex litigation support matters.
• Relativity Certified Administrator certification.
• Advanced knowledge of Relativity and the ability to independently administer sophisticated workflows. Knowledge of both RelativityOne and Relativity Server is required.
• Expert understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model and significant experience working across the litigation lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to independently assess problems, identify solutions, make sound decisions, and move work forward with limited oversight.
• Strong judgment and the ability to distinguish between issues that can be independently resolved and those requiring escalation.
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, particularly when managing multiple matters with competing or time sensitive deadlines.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document decisions, actions, issues, and outstanding items to support seamless transitions between shifts.
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with technical and nontechnical stakeholders, including attorneys, client support teams, and internal personnel.
• Experience troubleshooting applications and clearly communicating issues and resolutions to appropriate support teams.
• Collaborative mindset and the ability to function as part of a broader Client Services organization despite limited daily overlap with daytime team members.
• High degree of accountability, ownership, initiative, and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain effective under pressure and confidently manage time sensitive work without continuous supervision.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office product suite.
THE FOLLOWING SKILLS ARE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
• Relativity Specialist certifications, including Relativity Expert or Relativity Master status.
• Experience with basic scripting in XML, Java, or HTML.
• Experience supporting complex, high volume, or deadline intensive litigation and regulatory matters.
• Prior experience providing overnight, after hours, global operations, or other limited supervision eDiscovery support.
SALARY RANGE:
• $125,000.00 - $150,000.00
